Happy 3 months!

Little man, you turned three months old 4 days ago {and that's if by some miracle I finish this post in one day}. Oh my gooooodness, do we love you. You just seem to continue to get sweeter and we can't resist your smiles or good snuggles. Surprisingly this month has seemed like a longer one. Maybe it is because after I made the decision to stay at home things became less of a countdown and I was able to enjoy being home rather than dreading that my days at home were coming to an end. Oh goodness, every time you give me that sweet, flirty smile is confirmation that I made the right decision. I am so, so, so thankful that these days are not ending anytime soon.

You had your first bottle {if you don't count the one that they made you take in the hospital} as soon as you turned 2 months old. We tried you out at 4oz but quickly realized we were going to need to give you more. You stayed at 5 oz for a couple of weeks before we moved you up to 6oz.
Big sister helping for the first time.
When you turned 11 weeks old, you rolled over front to back for the first time, and I was able to catch it on video! I could tell it was about to happen and somehow my phone decided it did in fact have enough memory to film the whole thing. A little iphone miracle if you ask me.  Then on the day you turned 12 weeks, you did it two more times. And the next week you did it once more. So it hasn't quite become consistent but I guess that proves it wasn't just a fluke.
{as with most likely any video I post, excuse my ridiculous talking}

At 12 weeks you were taking your last feed at 8:15 and sleeping until 6:30 or 7:30. Oh, that first morning I felt so rested. Even though I love the sweet middle of the night times with you, and maybe a part of me is sad to see them go, those early mornings are still just us too which still makes them special. Your sister doesn't wake up until 8:30 or so, which gives us some good one on one time. You haven't been totally consistent with your sleeping in until that late. You'll occasionally wake up in the 5 o'clock hour and we try to get you to hold off until your morning feeding. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And if I do end up feeding you at 5am you are more interested in flirting than eating.

You nap pretty well. You're still pretty flexible and can nap just about anywhere. You can fall asleep even though craziness might be going on around you. You just don't always fall back asleep very well if there is a lot going on. The 12:30 nap is still your least favorite...or now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it is your favorite. Because even though it normally starts in the crib, it normally ends up in one of your favorite places to nap. Here...

You started staring at your fist. And you do this cute little thing where you hold your own hands. It looks so sweet.

You've also started wiggling your legs so much in excitement. I can't remember if you were doing this last month, but either way it has become more noticeable. You will start talking/cooing like crazy.

One thing that is sure to get you to smile and coo is the pegboard and baseball glove that hang over your changing table.

You are a growing little man. You are now in size 2 diapers and at least 6 month clothes because of the length of your torso and your feet. You have a few 9 month items that you can wear and your feet are thankful for the extra room in those footed pjs. Already have big feet like your daddy. {In fact, the first thing the nurse said when you were born was, "Look at the size of those feet!"} You're trying your best to catch up to your best buddy Ryan who is 6 weeks older than you.
Here's a look at the other fun we've had this month...
Visiting Mammy and Pappy's lot in Reynolds Plantation...we can't wait for them to live closer!
 {no, not where we got his name}
 First trip to Trader Joes without dad. Small carts are hard with two kids, but we finally braved it and you did great because you were snuggled with mama.
 Tummy time! I had to make the pediatrician promise me every time with your big sister that it wasn't hurting her, so we're still getting used to the fact that tummy time is not torture for you. You'll even smile during it.
 One of your nicknames has become "mountain man" from some of the cute little plaid outfits you have. Teagan will even randomly call you mountain man. Pretty cute. Here you are with your mountain dad.
 Hanging out with Gigi and Papa G
 Trying to help hold your evening bottle.
 Your sweet face melts me.
 First Thanksgiving! {post coming soon}
 Tigers win! {3/4 of us were happy...and we are still working on converting the last fourth}
 First Christmas tree!
 Your sister randomly will ask for pictures with you. And this one is a winner for sure...
 Little coffee date with some friends from church
 ...and lots of play dates with this little fella.
 First visit with Santa! He was awesome...and so are his eyebrows.
 Roswell Tree Lighting
 I'm not sure a day has gone by without a Christmas dance party breaking out in this house. And when Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" comes on, we make sure you are a part of it too!
 Tummy time with Santa!
 Christmas pj play date!
 Happy 3 months little man!
And for your monthly pics...

 Your sister decided you needed to wear her Christmas necklace and she wanted to read a story with you and asked me to take a picture.
 Laudie and Nana came for a visit while we were finishing up your pictures...
{umm...is that Laudie trying to punch Teagan?!?!}
 ...and then your Laudie got you to give a little chuckle! In fact, she got one 2 or 3 times while she was here. I've been trying nonstop to get one myself now.
 Little boy is chunkin up!

Reynolds, in your three months you have added so much joy to this family. We love you so much, and we are so thankful that we get to be your parents {and your big sister}!
